The following is part of Brittney's punishment after we caught her lying to us.
I didn't correct any of the spelling...her assignment was to write at least 25 words about lying.
Brittney's report...
I learned that lieing is rong.
I shudent lie to my parents.
Lieing is rong.
Lieing is bad.
Lieing is like a rotten apple it is not good.
Lieing stinks like garbage.

I always tell my kids that whatever they have done, I won't be nearly as mad about it as if I find out that they lied to me.

good idea to have her write an essay for what she did- i still have an occassional lying problem with my 15 year old.....good luck!!
Oh I wish my 3 year old can write! Has had a hard time telling the truth lately. Writing an essay was a really good parenting skill!

I am so gonna have to try that and see what we come up with. Kaylie lies too bruce has told her the story of Aunt Tami and how she lies to the point he won't even admit he has a sister now.
