Works for Me Wednesday (Homeade Magic Erasers)

A friend of mine posted to a group this recipe. I tried it and it worked really well.

I love the Magic Erasers for cleaning.

Try this homemade version...

Take a bowl and pour in some arm and hammer baking soda then pour a little white vinegar over it -- it will foam up and just make a paste with it = use it on the spots just like magic eraser using a wash cloth. As your paste gets too dry - add a bit more vinegar. WORKS as well as the Magic Erasers that you buy!

I haven't tried this one yet but my friend says it works GREAT....Grease spills in the garage -- sprinkle with lots of baking soda then pour on some vinegar and watch it bubble around then use a brush to lightly scrub it right off!!

Works for Me!

Thanks! I'll definatly give this a try. I've heard the Magic Erasers are so great, but they're so expensive. Also we had a car that leaked oil and got drips all over our garage. I sprinkled kitty litter on it to clean it up which worked okay, but maybe I'll try this next time.

I had just tried those magic erasers but was thinking they don't last near as long as they claim and they are mighty expensive! I'm gonna give this a try this weekend!

I will have to try this. I did want to mention though that I have found an off-brand of them at our local dollar store. If you are ever in a pinch or just wanted to try one, I think there are two in a package for a buck :) I understand they don't last as long as the Mr Clean ones though.

I will be putting these ingredients together today and giving it a shot- thanks so much for sharing!

I love using vinegar and baking soda in my drains, but I never thought of cleaning with them. Wonder if this can clean white baseball uniforms?
