Crack?

Brittney: Is Daddy on crack?

Me: What?

Brittney: Dad said today was Monday, but it's Tuesday, isn't that crazy? Is he in on crack?

Me: Laughing because Matt is constantly saying "She/He is on crack" whenever someone does something stupid or crazy.

So I promptly came home from picking the kids up from school and asked Matt if he was on crack?

He said oh no she got that from me. I was like yep she sure did. So we had a talk about using words that can mean different things and that crack was a bad drug and that daddy just said it to mean people were doing something crazy.

I will still be laughing about that one for awhile though, and I bet Matt watches what he says for awhile too. I told him superintendent will get a phone call from the teachers about a school board member (hubby) being on crack.

Crack and drugs are not a funny thing but this particular interest of my 7 year old asking if her straight as an arrow and so not ever into that kind of thing really struck me as funny.

LOL out of the mouths of babes as they say LOL. Kids sure do pick up things you say really quick don't they? Ugh the other day my hubby and I were just playing around and he jokingly said B**C* (I was pestering him to be funny) and my 3 year old said it. So we tired not to laugh and told him no no that was a bad word (my hubby doesn't normally cuss in front of the kids at all it was just a slip of the tounge) and so he hasn't said it since thankfully or I would have to have a talk with DH LOL. It's funny and not funny at the same time I know! Kids!!

My wife lovingly calls our dog a "dork". The first time my two-year old daughter called him that, it was hilarious, yet not so funny at the same time. Now we call him silly!

Great post Kel!

My 6 yr old son came home and told me his 17 yr old brother was Stoned. Once I closed my eyes and counted to 10, I asked him waht he meant and he said "Look, C.J. (his 14 yr old brother) threw a rock at him. He got stoned!"
